Uhuru Stadium

Uhuru stadium, (formerly known as the Tanzania National Stadium) is the current home of Tanzanian football club Young Africans FC. It is currently used mostly for football matches, and has a capacity of approximately 25,000 people. It is located next to the new national stadium of the Tanzania national football team, the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium, which has an all seated capacity of 60,000 people. It was opened on February 8, 2009 by the president of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Hu Jintao. The president of Tanzania, Mr.Jakaya M. Kikwete attended the opening ceremony as well.
